Simple Payment Steps
Securing your lodge rooms and private Land Cruiser happens in three practical stages:
- Send a 30% initial deposit to lock in your travel dates and start hotel reservations.
- Once the lodges confirm availability and issue your actual hotel vouchers, a second 20% payment secures those rooms.
- Pay the remaining 50% balance 7 days before your safari via bank transfer, or pay cash in person when your driver picks you up in Nairobi on Day 1.
Accepted Payment Options & Fees
We accept direct bank wires, Wise.com transfers, Pesapal for online card payments, and M-Pesa.
Third-party transfer charges and bank fees are not built into our base quotes. Please make sure processing fees are covered on your end so the net invoice amount clears smoothly.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Plans change. If you need to cancel your trip, we keep the process transparent:
- No hidden admin fees. Amboselisafari.com never charges penalty fees for processing a cancellation. You only cover any direct transaction charges required to send money back.
- Refund amounts depend on the specific cancellation deadlines enforced by our partner lodges and domestic airlines. Whatever refundable funds they return to us go straight back to you.
- Partial refunds are not available for missed game drives or early departures once your safari has started.
Free Date Changes & Postponement
Need to push your dates back? You can postpone your safari without any penalty or markup from our team, provided you notify us before partner hotels lock in their seasonal cancellation windows.
Vehicle & Packing Guidelines
- Custom 4×4 Land Cruisers come equipped with pop-up roof hatches, VHF radios, and 1000W power inverters to keep your camera gear charged.
- Pack soft, frameless duffel bags (around 15 kg / 33 lbs per guest). Soft luggage squeezes easily into Land Cruiser boots and survives rough dirt roads much better than hard suitcases.
- Your TRA-licensed driver-guide oversees daily routes, safety, and vehicle positioning at every sighting.
Recommended Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not mandatory, but we strongly advise picking up a policy before heading to Kenya. A solid plan covers unexpected travel delays, medical emergencies, and lost bags.
