Cancellation & Refund Policy
Overview
We keep our cancellation rules straightforward. If your travel plans change, we don’t take a cut or charge admin fees—your refund depends entirely on partner hotel policies and direct transfer costs.

How Refunds Work
If you need to cancel a booking, we work on it right away.
The only deductions from your refund are the actual bank wire or card processing fees (like Stripe or local bank transfers) needed to send your money back. Whatever net amount our partner suppliers refund to us goes straight back to your account.
Partner Lodge & Service Terms
Because a safari itinerary ties into independent lodges and regional flight operators, their specific cancellation policies dictate what can be refunded:
- Hotels and Tented Camps: Most properties enforce cancellation cutoffs between 30 and 60 days before check-in. Any refundable portion a lodge returns to our account goes straight back to you. However, non-refundable deposits for luxury camps during peak season can’t be recovered once those cutoff dates pass.
- Domestic Flights: Regional carriers like Safarilink or Airkenya treat booked tickets as strictly non-refundable per airline rules.
Free Postponement & Date Changes
If you want to push your trip back rather than cancel it entirely, you can reschedule your travel dates with zero rebooking or admin fees from our team. Just make sure to send your request before partner hotels lock in their seasonal cancellation windows. Keep in mind that if your new dates fall into a higher pricing season, any rate difference charged directly by the lodges will apply.
Unused Services
Once your safari starts, we can’t issue partial refunds for missed game drives, delayed flight arrivals, early check-outs, or optional activities you choose to skip along the way.
Recommended Travel Insurance
We strongly encourage picking up a solid travel insurance policy before departing for Kenya. Having coverage for trip interruptions, medical emergencies, and lost baggage ensures you don’t lose out.
